It's just a very short visit..
2 days 1 night.. My aunty and her family have been staying
at Batu Niah for more than 15 years..
Batu Niah is a small town near Gua Niah.. a place where tourists must visit..
(BUT i didn't manage to pay a visit, there's no TIME XDD)
i went there with my family..
Actually we just plan to visit my another aunty in Bintulu,
but then my aunt in Niah had prepared everything,
so we had to go 2 Niah..
we went there by bus..
2 hours journey..
only RM12 per head^^
There're lots of oil palm trees along the roadside..
and also DURiaN treeS with tonne of duriansss hanging up there...^^
We went to Batu Niah "Pasar Dayak"..
i dunno what's its actual name..
tat's what my aunty name it^^
There's some fruits that i never see and eat before..
eg.
|
"Buah Salak" |
It's sourish sweetish and it has its own unique taste..
some ppl like it..
Me??
ok ok lo.. not bad..
But quite expensive..
heheXD
|
"Buah Puloh".. sth like buah sukun.. i never eat this before..
for the 1st sight, i thought it's durian..
Haha =) |
|
Terung Asam or what the local call " Terung Dayak"
I love this 1 so much.. It's sour and taste great..
Normally my mom will cook this as soup..
we put some lemon grass, 1 tin of spicy sardin and some of this terung,
then it's done..
i can't find this at Semenanjung..
it's normally found in Sarawak only..^^ |
|
"Petai".. everywhere in Sarawak..XD |
|
Yam.. One of the ingredients to cook "Bubur ChaCha" |
|
Local honey and "jamu" |
|
"Beras Bario" |
|
Banana ^^ |
|
Corn or 'Jagung"
After that, we managed to visit an oil palm plantation.. it's my uncle's..
We had a very fun ride.. we were standing on his hilux all the way to his plantation..
we enjoyed the scenery along the journey..
the air is so fresh..^^
